The Indian Curry Nite was a resounding success, drawing a full house of over 80 people and offering an evening packed with nonstop entertainment. Our lively compere, Philip Spencer kept the energy high, while Jithin’s vibrant music had everyone tapping their feet. Guests were treated to a delectable three-course meal lovingly prepared by our talented home chefs: Sharon Vaz, Lydia Fernandes, Una D’Souza, and Jazz. The event was made possible through the immense effort and dedication of our organizers - Sharon, Lydia, and Joe – and unstinting support from Gina, Pat and Philip. Margaret Fernandes delivered a warm Welcome Note, and Alfie Fernandes closed the evening with a heartfelt Vote of thanks. There was fun for everyone—from exciting games and spot prizes to bingo and lucky raffle draws. The night ended on a high note with the group dancing to hit Bollywood tracks, featuring fun new moves taught by Alfie and Jithin. Huge thanks to our generous sponsors and our equally generous audience - who brought the energy, the laughs, and took away a few calories. It was a colorful celebration of India’s vibrant culture and a fundraiser with heart, soul, and a touch of curry powder. Final figures are being worked out, but we raised over £1,000 for parish projects
